The Catskills were very beautiful & very clear. I was surprised the river was so pretty above Hudson. In spite of the wind (almost a gale) I staid on deck till about 5:30 & then got "slicked up" below & sat & ate Peter's chocolate & listened to the delightful orchestra - now & then going out the door to see something special. I noticed a group of foreigners - Frenchmen on deck - evidently intensely delighted with the scenery - & excited over all the boats we met. Arrived at Albany late (due at 6:10) and looked in vain for Gertrude among the crowd on the dock. So walked right up to the Union station (which was crowded) and I didn't find her there! But Eva expected us on the 6:30 train & it was one minute of 7, so got on & we started, only to remain 20 minute somewhere in a "block" and arrive at the pretty Troy station about 7:45! No Eva!! Then I didn't know what to think but decided Trudy was hunting for me in Albany & wd. come on the next train & waited. It arrived about 8:25! No Trudy!
