June 30. Friday Papa waked me by a Knock at 10 minutes of 8. Another lovely day, but I feel rather used up. Didn't eat much breakfast. The Lees were later yet. They posed for me, just before they went in. Walked down among the cottages, talked with the little McKinstry boys & a very tame kitten & finally changed my waist & we started for the station - loads of us, about quarter of Eleven - Those who remained gathered to cheer us "goodbye"! There were all sorts of good wishes, compliments, invitations, &c. &c. The train was so full, when we changed at Lake Clear, that they had to put on an extra coach for us. We sat with the Bunnells and didn't go thro' the train till later - when we were one by one greeted with hilarious cheers. I sat out on the back platform over half the way to Utica - with a lady from Seneca Falls(?) and a gentleman whose name I've forgotten &c. The nice little McKinstry boys, Willard and Edward got acquainted with me. They left us at Remsen and after that a pleasant Hamilton College man scraped aquiantance with me. At Utica we were fortunate enough to catch a train for home in about 10 minutes. Fred Beach had was waiting there too, He had come up from New York via the Hudson and canal, on Frank Ocumpaugh's new gasoline
