Jun. 26 Tues. Another gorgeous day. J.W. went with his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney to Buffalo in his auto, (about 10:15) I lunched with Mother at Sibley's and we shopped a little, sewed & read tonight. Jun. 27 Wed. Still fine. J.W.C. returned this p.m. Had a nice trip. was rather tried and hot tonight but Mary came and wanted me to go to the band concert at Maplewood Park, so I dressed up in my new silk dress and "done so". It was a nice concert but mosquitoey. We arrived late and left early but had a nice visit & heard good music "Mame Dickens" and "Bess" Hutchinson moved down to Edith today. Jun. 28. Thurs. Sultry and threatened so early in the p.m. that J.G. & JW. did not go to Canandaigua "as proposed", but it looked much better at night, so Ethel & Reg Flack and "Ray Statler" (a good looking young friend of his) and I went out to Grace Bingham's walking from the end of the car line. It was cool & lovely out there. Her brother from Texas and "Sally" and the baby little Meredith (much a year old) had arrived and the baby is the cunningest of its age I ever saw. We stayed till after 9:30 and walked back to the car by moonlight. The boys climbed a tree and got cherries &c. Grace is "resting " now & looks better, I'm glad to say. Jun. 29 Fri. We had two terrible thunder storms very early this morning and nobody I heard of
