Jun. 8. Fri. The hottest Day yet!! and J.W. came home this p.m! Read a little, played flinch with Mother and went for ice cream. Jun. 9. Sat. Cooler today and fine. This p.m. stopped for Edith (she'd telephoned me) and went down to the Lake, sat in front of the cottage a while (the air was fine) and then strolled up in front of where Mae & Jno. used to be & sat on the grass a long time. It was lovely. Lew Jones has bought the corner (Fred Graves) house and fitted it up beautifully) Saw him & had a little chat. He owns half- interest in the Rochester, too. She was out this p.m. coming back Edith found 30 four leaf clovers! and I two (but then I was looking at Lake, sky and boats, mostly) Got home about 8, had supper and wrote till after eleven. Sent Chat a postal from Ithaca Sunday "Hello Chattie did you know I'd gone to College" "MB of M". And Mary one "Here's where I am, Polly, MB" and will put their replies in here. Jun. 10 Sun. Home today. Pretty good weather but a few showers. Read magazines & Sun papers! Jun. 11 Mon. Fine. We are having remarkable weather - but too dry. Went up to Cro'nest.
