at one. There were an automobile party and a lot of students and their
guests there besides "tourists" and the dinner was pretty good. Later
we walked over across the square past the big new 1st Pres.
Church to "Sears Street" where we picked out the
house where we used to live (much changed) and took its picture. Down
at the end we looked for the brook, which we found, but all the lovely
willows were gone and the banks walled up! Then we went over and saw
Papa's old office (or the
building) and he found other land- marks, and finally took the car up
the steep hills thro' Stewart Avenue
(very pretty and up past the fraternity houses and across Fall
Brook magnificent view) and around some "deadmen's
curves". We got out and walked back across the creek and I took
two pictures which I found were my last (rather to my surprise!) then
rested awhile and walked by slow degrees across the pretty meadowy
street and across the pattern fields (rested more & then up to the
Campus proper.
