House cleaning at home -
GCB & I lunch down town and tonight I took
Mary to "The Amazons" (National Stock
Co.) on press tickets. It was really fine and very funny.
Both of us enjoyed it tho' both were very tired. Bed late again
June. 1. Fri.
Nice day - warmish at noon.
Staid down again - went up to see Mary
and we
made plans for Forest Lawn tomorrow Read (a little) sat out
doors & talked to the
twins
& wrote tonight. Now I wash my
hair and go bye-bye - early if possible!
June 2 Sat.
A fine
day - fresh and fair and cool. At 3:40 (It's our first half-holiday)
Mary and I took the R.W &O. train
to Forest Lawn and spent the afternoon there. We tho't of
staying all night, but the club house wasn't "open", tho' the family
were there. We sat out on the shore awhile and then went up tho' the woods
to the "bluff' - over a stile, thro' a clover field - climbed a wire
fence (with some difficulty) and walked up the road to the "corner". Found
a lovely field of red clovers. Took a picture or two.
Mary's half way over - mine with a lovely calf
&c. (I sent Mary's to
