sent me for the center table. We had a nice visit. Mary & Nellie couldn't come

office so dirty. They moved desks around and fixed telephones &c.
&c. a nuisance. Papa gave me a
birthday dinner (omitted yesterday) at
Sibley's. Tonight I went to the
opening night of "The Student King" & Raymond
Hitchcock &c. Reginald de Koven, author, made a speech.

Boiling hot today and so busy and telephone men everywhere.
Lunched down with GCB again. We
were all dead tired tonight. Mother
had been housecleaning. Spent my evening settling my room, which
looks fine. Also finished the boys' room
