expect to get very rich. Harding leaves for
Arizona tomorrow. Shopped some tonight and wrote and
"figgered" etc. Read too.
Apr. 8. Sunday
Used up a roll of film taking
the cat's (and incidentally the family's) pictures, as they will be
six years old tomorrow. The results - both ways - nothing to brag of.
Claude was down to dinner. I went
over to the Third Church in the afternoon and heard
Paul Strayer. They went to the
hospital and saw poor Gracie Bingham, and her Mother - who is
unconsious and dying. Stopped at Lura's for supper. Then read "The Virginian" -
again. It is charming.
Apr. 9. Mon.
And again tonight, after my hot
bath - I finished it. A cloudy day - in fact pouring rain most of the
day - and I'm "sick-a-bed" with a cold in my throat.
Apr. 10 Tues.
Had a postal from Edith from
Washington
and today a lovely one from Mary -
Robert Edison's picture. The new
Rochester Trust Co. moved into the new building Sat.
& Sun. & I went in yesterday. It is very beautiful - & the
flowers (ships American beauties &c.) were ditto. Went to see
Dustin Farnham in "The Virginian" with
Laura tonight abd it was
certainly fine. They have changed the Third act entirely. Mr.
