Lunched at the "Y" with Papa and Miss Wasson who talked most interestingly of China and her travels. Met Rev. Mr. Strayer's assistant (Mr. Guthrie) who knows Stanley Oliver well in New Zealand and corresponds with him. He was very nice. Dr. Miller and others were there (a special day) more Fisk. Feb. 14 Wed Valentine day. A sweet one from Edith late which made me blue - that and the Day - and thinking about my Ned. Read "Roderick Hudson" &c. tonight. Feb. 15 Thurs. The girls went to College widow tonight but Chattie didn't want to and I didn't make her. Went home to dinner with Claude. Char not feeling first rate but lively at supper. Harry very gay in N.Y. He writes a good deal about Mr. Paul Leicester Ford. Was much interested - as always at Cro'nest, but very tired indeed. When I got home and before.
