We got home - or rather to Edith's - in time to take the horse to the stable & brush up before dark & when we were all fixed & cozy we began on supper - a nice one - escalloped oysters, salad, coffee, "scones", oranges, nuts &c. &c. Jan 13th Monday Tuesday Then we sat & talked & sang & discussed & enjoyed & visited till almost nine & we three came up together. Nothing happened Monday so I change the date. Not much today, except that Ned & Edith were up to try & get me to go to "The Party" tonight - but I desisted - & Marystopped in this evening & we had a nice visit together tho' she didn't take off her things. After she went I read & read. Began the Holland book J.G. gave me and I like it. This p.m. I
