Edith's room then, but had the shutter
wrong & took her dresser twice on the same plate (not so bad tho') After she went down
Ned & I took her bed - with its row of
photo- graphs - including the split in the pillow case & all.
The camera was on the stove top - mean while! Then we were called to
dinner & I took the turkey & his surroundings - poor turkey!
He was soon being spattered over the table in all directions by a
couple of amateur carvers! We had a jolly meal tho' - and a long one
ending with "apple snow" and nuts & oranges (these later, in the
parlor.)
Edith taught me to play "A pretty
girl" on the piano (with one finger) and we talked &
planned next summer & went into
Ned's studio when the lights were lit and
visited and went over the scrap books &o other books for the - manyith- time! Then we had chocolate,
cold turkey, thin bread & butter, cake & oranges in there -
all cozy-like. After Ida & Harry
had got home & gone away again to an "alumni" party. Ned and me to the car in the "cold
moonlight". It was a pleasant day.
