It was thick with snow - everything was - but beautiful - this
morning - I took a snap shot out the window - but it was pretty dark
(only 8:30) Mrs. A.
was just starting to meet the train which brought her
Lizzie (Bells) who is to be married this spring,
and this is to buy the trousseau! They came up in the office this
p.m. & reported it a success.
Ned came up to tell me she is to have
the Durand room & about her
interview with the Dr. She is to move tomorrow & it will be very
nice $350 per week for room. Telephoned to Mary & stopped for her after supper, & we went
down to Edith's - Ned's last night there. Ida & Harry
were away & after inspecting their new sideboard
&c. &c. we went up stairs where they'd been stuffing pillows &
staid till after ten! Mary & I
both pretty tired.
Feb. 8. Sat.
A nice day at last. Busy with J.G.
letters to J.W. & Charter &c.
John N. is sick. At 5 I went up to the
Chamber of Commerce
(with Klem) and saw some of the finest
photographs I ever saw, large & beautiful. Scenery on the
Lehigh Valley Railroad
Walked home via Court St. (always a pleasure) Wrote
tonight.
Claude sent his Columbia poster.
