Oct. 14 Wed Ned was in this morning asking me to lend her fifty dollars till Jan. 1st & (not tell). Of course I did. She was in again tonight and we wandered about a little together & finally separated at Bryan's- Ned is going to call on Mary "all alone" tonight - I wouldn't go with her. She did & then came up here & reported the interview. I'd like to have heard it! She stayed till 9:30 or so & I sewed & we all visited. Oct. 15th Tuesday. Quite cold. My new hat is done- that I ordered yesterday - & quite pretty. I wore it & my winter coat to Stull's tonight with Claude. We took up the plans (sketches) for the new house
