"events". It was quite fun. Bicycle races - high jumps - "dashs" &c.&c. Came home before it was over (about 5) & took a bath before supper. Put on my new cambric & went down to Mary's - where we shot with the airgun in the back yard with the girls & Mr. Wallace. Frank Davis came in time for the fireworks - up & down the street & finally right in front. Mr. Reynolds & his sister came also & Ida & Alice hung out lanterns & it got quite gay. Later we went in & used the air pistol again. They all liked it - then ended with a Sing "America" "John Brown's body" &c.&c. Frank came home with me. July 5. Friday "The-day-after-the-4th" in the air "J.G. J.W. & Anna" left this morning for Babylon, L.I. Had a visit with Mae Stull down in John's office. Mr. Gordon was up tonight - to hear Claude's letters - and Frank Davis came while he was here for me to go down to Ned's - of course I couldn't. Lovely weather. July 6. Sat. Got my dear little new Pocket Kodak "Black Domino." It was a hazy day but managed to snap it twice when Miss
