and thro' sleepy old Chelsea - where we saw the soldier's home & the Low Tile Works & Mr. L's house (which I have seen photographed) & on thro' Charlestown - where we saw the Monument

and the Navy yard & the Marine Hospital (This is in the edge of Chelsea). Over the Mystic River and over the Charles and finally into old Boston - so picturesque & crooked & nice. We changed cars &c. & I had time in the station to buy my ticket to Rochester before we started - (at 7:05) for Newtonville. Of course we were late to dinner, but they had waited & all but Edith & Guerdon ate together. Then Hattie
, Wiltsie & I started for the club,
but it began to rain, so we came back & sat in the music room talking & listening to Edith, playing the piano and whistling &c. Wiltsie wanted us to stay over tomorrow and sail down to Plymouth. How I'd love to! A hot June 1 Sat. night and I did not sleep very well. Was up in good season. It had rained some, but was a warm, bright day. We packed the last things & after a cozy
