moved back. Edith must be happy - She had been longing for just that. Ned looked well (all new "togs" of course) & we had a long visit. Met her again for 5 minutes at noon. Went to bed after lunch & slept soundly until six o'clock when Mama called me. Found Aunt Melissa & Charlie here. They had de- cided to have the funeral here - on Nina's account. After supper the undertakers came & brought the coffin with its load & it was set up in the parlor and Auntie & I arranged the flowers and smilax. The plate said "Nina M. Vickery Age 59 years". A huge mass of roses & maiden hair ferns from "Mrs. Husband & Eva Minnie" & six callas from Eva. Also other callas. Charlie spent most of the evening with Edna, but Auntie staid here. May 2. Thurs.
