Sept. 16 Monday. Not really warm - but muggy & I had a headache & didn't feel first rate. Ned & I were invited to Prof. Rose's to tea. She stopped for me & we spent 15 or 20 min. with Mae & John, in the office, before going up. Had a nice supper & a pleasant chat about photographs &c & Mrs. Hughes came over & we "swapped yarns" about Stony Lake & the Bicycle. Came home before nine. I stopped at Mary's but she'd gone to bed. Had a nice little visit with Nellie & Alice. Sept. 7. Tuesday. Pleasant. Papa went to Oswego. I rushed around at noon - saw Charlotte- Mary - Ned - Mr. Davis & Frank and went to the Lyceum for tickets to Otis Skinner. Hamilton invites us up there next Thursday evening Mama & I were both late home tonight and changed our dresses before tea so Ned arrived - on her wheel - before we had eaten. She said Edith was walking up and wanted us to teach her how to play euchre - so we went down to Mary's (awheel) to get her. Jack Ballagh was there to supper - having been to the lake with Nellie - and she said she'd come when he went. He told me
