It must have been very embarrassing for the actors. Of course,
everything ("breaks" & all) was applauded &c. I was
disappointed in Nat Goodwin & the play - but might not
have been if it had not followed last night's finished performance.
Everyone else seemed well pleased & it was really very good
Apr. 10. Wed.
Colder but brilliant sunshine.
J.G. feels better (he was here
enough yesterday) and we all do. Gilmore took Kodaks
of our "operations" on Main St. &c&e.
Apr. 11. Thurs.
Still pleasant but dusty. A little shopping & an exchange of
candy bets with Gilmore. Busy day
& all. Went down to teach Mary
bicycling tonight but her wheel didn't come so we spooned a little
& she sang "I don't want to play in your yard I don't love you
any more You'll be sorry when you see me Sliding on our cellar door"
&c! Came home early & cut scraps & talked to Claude & Mama. A long letter from Ned the other day indicates Rochester no
more!
