has her books all packed ready to leave this week. We had quite a
nice visit. Edith is dole- ful
& Ned is perturbed but sensible. We
have gone over the situation - which is difficult - or Edithmakes it so. Hope she will be more
content later, but doubt it. They made me stay
to supper &c. I came home about 7:30. Finished my
Holland book. Drank a cup of chocolate with Mama, read, wrote, etc etc!

Had a visit from Ned & we looked
for rooms, as usual. Tonight she and I went together to see Julia
& Robert Taber in "Romeo & Juliet". I had
never seen the play and enjoyed it immensely
Mr. Taber was not handsome as I had hoped, but is a very good
actor. Especially so in the scene in Mantua, where he is told of
Juliet's death. The man who played Mercutio
was good & quite handsome & made a good deal of the part. In
fact all the company were pretty good - The scenery ditto & the
green & velour curtain they used between the acts. There were
many curtain calls. The Nurse
was fine. Mrs. Taber is beautiful but not very graceful
- her arms & hands
