you want to go to "Pudd'nhead Wilson?" and after a little I concluded I did. Tho' Papa had just come home from New York - full of news &c. We were glad we went for it was very good - much better than the story. The audience were very enthusiastic & kept calling up the curtain & Frank Mayo made a speech. The scenery was very good (their own) and the twins & the village folk very funny. It started (our going) from a conversation at lunch at Sibley's this noon - Where Nina Clark Hooker, Claude & I accidentally dined together. At one- thirty I went to the Dr. - on my wheel - and after a session there took a spin up the avenue on Diana & called a few minutes on Charella. Nov. 19. Tuesday Threatened rain today - but I wheeled. Tonight Mary, Emma, & Warren Fisk came up & played Pedro till 10:30 or so. I like the game & we had a good time. It rained hard when they went home. W.F. is a fine player. Nov. 20. Wed. Cold & black and I have a cold. Staid home by the register tonight & read. Snowed tonight.
