the wind directly in front of Charlotte & me - at the foot of the hill just before
reaching the Park. Fortunately no one was hurt & away we rode -
Helen & I ahead - right into the
gorgeous red & gold sunset which overhung the misty - mysterious
river valley - with a few little lights shining across thro' the
haze. The ride down was most delightful. We rode right to Summerville (9 1/2 m.) and saw the
Electric Fountain. Then walked up the board walk to
the Windsor Beach hotel & after Charlotte
& Frank had interviewed
"Mr. Fisher", looked at rooms &c. &c. They took
our wheels in (just 10 miles from home my cyclometer said) & we
saw Frank off & then went down
for a stroll on the sand and a beautiful view of the harbor. We
sat on the lower step of the stairs a long time - Making
shadow-pictures & talking over camp. I guess Charlotte,
Helen & Mary will go - to the hotel! That will be lovely.
Charlotte shall take her banjo
& I my camera.
