last Sunday's pictures Ned stopped in at five and it still poured. We went up to Sibley's. I led Diana home - under an umbrella & we both got more or less wet. Tonight Ned, Edith, Mae & John came up and we talked house plans and had an air-pistol match (13 shots each - John , Mae & I won 143 to 141 - Jno. made the best score.) Talked & ate cream & cake & maccaroons. They seemed to enjoy themselves & It was a pleasanter evening indoors than out. Mr. Myers tells Mary they have found Capt. Reynolds body - so all hope of his being alive was vain Nov. 10. Sunday A very uneventful day - Darkish. Staid home all day, reading &c. Got a good rest. Nov. 11. Monday Pleasant. I saw Charlotte & she got Mr. Stowell to get us tickets to Joe Jefferson. Ned & Edith were both in to ask Mary & me down tonight. We went to see Roland Reed in the "Politician" instead. It was very funny & I adore Ruth was cute (Made me think of Fanny Morey). Ned & Freddy were there sure enough & walked down with us afterward. Thos McMillan sat
