We all walked home. Ned came up
with me and we bade the boys a hasty farewell at the door. I took a
separate bed for my head was bursting. Walked the floor a good

the Doctor's as my head was worse. Got more medicine & advice and
came home for the day - promising Ned
I'd go to her "party" tonight if I was equal to it - but I wasn't & Mary was sick too - so only Charlotte, Helen &
Fredrica came. Had another bad

night. This was a hot day. Didn't get up
till late & wouldn't have done so at all except for restlessness.
Got along pretty well - but made some blue prints (when I hadn't
ought to) & got heated & Ned
& Edith spent the p.m. here -
so I was tired out completely & worse than ever at night. Couldn't
stand it by 10 o'clock - so Mama
went to the Dr's for sleeping doses & medicine. Managed it
