picture of the point as we approached. About somewhere in the
Islands we saw the most English English man I've
seen - very red in the face - a short pipe - a green & brown Tam
o'Shanter - a brown velveteen short coat - whiteish Knickerbockers &
low shoes! - Wrote a letter home, on the boat, & so did Mary. About noon we saw a pretty camp at
our left & pretty soon the boat puffed up to some rocks &
they put out a board & the Cap't said "Do you recognize them?" We
didn't at first because we were looking for the girls & they had
gone to the store for us - Ralph &
Flavie
brought us in & it was all lovely. We got just about the view
shown in the picture I took afterward. Freddie & Ned came
rowing around the point & did the honors of the camp - which is better
remembered than described. They began getting dinner & I got
into my flannel waist &c., all ready & took a picture of them
eating - just as we got to the "marmelade tart" stage. We had fish
with egg batter, coffee, &c.&c. Very nice indeed. Frederica &
Mary did the dishes & we sat in "my seat" in the
"parlor" & talked. Then went over to the funny little store & P.O.
to mail our letters & get
