we came down from the park "with the procession" (hundreds I'm sure)
& went to the Mary's for root
beer. Had a little chat on the piazza &
Frank rode up with me. I got home
about 9:30. Wrote the rest of evening

Warm. Papa started early (train went
7:45) for Canandaigua so we had breakfast betimes
and about 7:40 or so I went for Mary (who was all ready) and we went for a ride.
First out to the Rapids (& the breeze was against us up that long
hill) and then down Genesee St. to
Clifton. Stopped & picked daisies in a
field ("Aldine St.") on Genesee.
Came down thro' Clifton,
Prospect & Troup &
Mary left me at
Ford (to comb her hair!) and I went thro'
Spring to the photographer's. Got my negative
(which is awful!) and made a print. Lura
came to invite me to the picnic tomorrow at the Lake and then to her house Thursday.
J.G. came early & I wrote some
letters before the charter commission assembled for
their "Rochester Hearing". J.G. took them
to luncheon at the club afterward. At noon rode down to Edith's to see if she wd. make me a cake
for tomorrow. Had a nice little chat with her. She & Ned had a
