home to supper with me. She says she'll be lonesome when I'm in N.Y. (3 days!) We sat & talked by the grate fire. She went home in the cold & wind about 9. Feb. 21 Friday Blizzardy morning. Shopped today. Met (Charlotte &) Ned at noon & we went to Harned's to lunch & then shopped more. It cleared off some. She stopped for me at night, too, & we went up to Glenny's This evening sat by fire & finished "Camille" which is by far the vilest book I ever read! Feb. 22. Sat.

Pleasant, sunny, Washington's birthday. J.G. still sick - I only worked in the morning. After dinner went to Ned's (pocket-kodaked Freda Behn & Grantine on the way) Took a picture of Ned's room - Had a chat - & then started out for a walk. Went thro' everything at the German bookstore - Walked to the central station & took a magnificent yellow cat, sitting on a step on Clinton St. on the way. Then took the car to Frederica's but she wasn't home, so went to Edith's & sat and chatted an hour by her fire - quite tired. Planned the 1st meeting of the Bohemian Club this evening & I stopped & invited Charlotte & had a chat with Frank on the way up - after supper, packed up camera, flashlight, jam, &c. & stopped for Mary - but she wasn't going. Then went to Seel's for
