Saw Charlotte, Frank & Harry Gould this noon & Lura (staid down) & Ned & I went shopping (Hovey's, Sibley's &c.) tonight. After supper wrote to Helen Davis & Gertrude.) Jan. 17. Friday. Tonight Mama went to a mock trial at the Y.M.C.A., while I sewed and Papa read aloud to me from "Holland" - very good. Jan. 18. Sat. Warmish & "sloshy". Went up in the hill with Charlotte and met Ned, coming back & we decided to hear Sousa this p.m. I stopped to see if Mary could go (after lunch) but she couldn't, Ida, Mattie Watts & Ned saved a seat for me in the front row, way up stairs and it was lovely - the music. Brought back memories of the fair - I enjoyed it all. Went back to the office afterward & wrote a letter or so for J.G. Read and sewed a little this evening. Was very tired. Jan. 19. Sun. Got up late was so tired. It snowed all day. Devoted the time before dinner to clearing out my desk - tearing up old letters & stuff &c. &c. Also made some prints. After dinner (which was late) I got
