Rode down with Mary this p.m. & she got me to stop there tonight & get "Chimmie Fadden"
to read - which I did! To- night Ed Nolan was up to see Claude I wrote & read & so on. Feel badly to day? Oct. 6. Sunday. This has been a perfect week as to weather - lovely crisp sunny days & most gorgeous moonlight nights - but I've been too ill enjoy them much. Went to the Dr's Wednesday & he told me I must keep still & be good to myself. Wednesday night Mary & I went down to Ned's & stayed till nine - I told their fortunes with cards - or rather Mary's Found out Mr. Brooks(?) Booth was a civil engineer. Frank Davis came. My riding has been con- fined to to and from the office, except Thursday when Ned met me at 5:30 and we rode up Chili Ave. & around the new streets of asphalt & down Brown & King St. Was late to supper and felt worse for the ride (which was delightful) of course. Thurs. noon & Sat Friday p.m I went to the new Reynolds Library
& which is very nice indeed. Have ridden back & forth a little with Mary & been there two noons & lunched with Claude at Sibley's on Thursday. Our house has been painted over this week - light green, with sage green trimming. I went shopping with
