Rode down with Mary this p.m. & she got me to stop there tonight
& get "Chimmie Fadden"
to read - which I did! To-
night Ed Nolan was up to see Claude
I wrote & read & so on. Feel badly to day?
Oct. 6. Sunday.
This has been a perfect week as to weather - lovely crisp sunny days
& most gorgeous moonlight nights - but I've been too ill enjoy them
much. Went to the Dr's Wednesday & he told me I must keep still
& be good to myself. Wednesday night
Mary & I went down to
Ned's & stayed till nine - I told their
fortunes with cards - or rather Mary's
Found out Mr. Brooks(?)Booth was a civil engineer.
Frank Davis came. My riding has been con-
fined to to and from the office, except Thursday
when Ned met me at 5:30 and we rode up
Chili Ave. & around the new streets of asphalt &
down Brown & King St.
Was late to supper and felt worse for the ride (which was delightful)
of course. Thurs. noon & SatFriday p.m I went to the new Reynolds
Library
& which is very nice indeed. Have ridden back
& forth a little with Mary
& been there two noons & lunched with Claude at Sibley's on
Thursday. Our house has been painted over
this week - light green, with sage green trimming. I went shopping
with
1895.
