Got home in time to change clothes &c. before dinner - which I was quite in shape to enjoy - especially lima beans, toast & coffee! Wrote to Trudy. Read "Alice in Wonderland" & entertained Edith, Ned, Mary & Alice MacA. later. Tried to decide where to go tomorrow and ended by deciding nothing & lending Edith my wheel to go to the Lake with Ned in the morning! Then lunch & writing again. Sept. 2. Monday Labor Day . A gorgeous morning too. Was up at six and dressed, ate breakfast, put up lunch, made bed &c. before seven, when we started for the train - 7:45 - to Canandaigua.
