very well & Mary's too - only said she was contented - which she isn't. She said to me first "You're very generous, very" & Ned & Mary nodded "yes" (to my surprise) Then she said "My! look at the reasoning powers! Very extreme - unusually so &c. Said I had a good headline & a life line. Long & happy life - little sickness &c. Good heart line. Might be greatly influenced by my affections, however (I don't know about that!) Three love affairs (I think she said 2 marriages, but am not sure.) First two not especially serious for me (her emphasis) but third very much so. Has to do with an artist or artistic person - I think she said it would end happily - Married comparatively late (35 or so.) Good line of fortune, but greatest fortune also comes late in life. An artistic Nature & an extreme lover of the beautiful - in Nature &c. A number of long journeys - Mary says she also said I was inconsistent - perhaps she means in regard to affections. I don't remember anything else. At last we got started for home. Mr. Mills escorted Mary & me & Frank, Helen & Mr. & Mrs. Griswold went down in the same car
