"sunset bench" & sat half or 3/4's of an hour enjoying a most glorious sunset - while I read aloud some of Claude's Venetian letters. Started home at 7:30. It was dark then! Aug. 27. Tuesday Another lovely day. Rode up at noon and called on Chapin's- Cad & her Mother - both just returned from their summer - in the Adirondacks & out in the Yellowstone &c. We were invited to Lura's this evening. Trude & I stopped for Mary. Helen & Kate Davis & the Arnolds & Mrs. Weaver were also there. Had quite a pleasant evening - "Ouija" - peach ice cream and gossip. Also Bert Brower. Aug. 28. Wed. A quiet day. Stayed home with Trudy& Mama tonight & sewed on my new "Mikado Bath Robe" which I bought this noon. Papa went back to Oswego to-day. Aug. 29. Thurs. Got another letter from "Tom" today. Also a nice from from Mrs Dymond

the other day, thanking me for the blue prints. &c. Trudy & I were going to Davis' today, but decided on invitation, to go to Edith's. Mary went too & Frank Davis & Vic Chambers were there. We played "Hearts" &c. and ate ice cream. Ned rode the bicycle for us. She "has the fever" badly & has rented a wheel & been practicing hard. Frank teaches her too.
