At the 2-mile seat the car with "the rest" passed us, and we saw two "scorchers" fall off. One broke his wheel & had to put it on a car & take it back. Kate had a good deal of trouble with a "floppy" dress - against the wind - and all of us (but K.) had to get off coming up the Deaf mute hill.
