The toll-gate lady advised me strongly to get bloomers. Said she should wear them by all means if she rode (She's extremely fat!) It was a delightful ride down the Boulevard & not at all tiresome - just before we reached Windsor Beach my tires slipped on a wet ridge & down I went before I knew it. Not seriously hurt, however, & with a bent pedal to worry me. In fact I could get my wheel no further than the little station , and there a "kind man" fixed it for me. As we were puttering Lura came up in a car from the city & we beckoned her out. Of couse, then we had to walke the rest of the way. We went up along the bluff - it was a beautiful sunny, morning. Sat down & ate some sandwiches which I brought, strolled down by the rocks & then along up the beach to Summerville where we looked at some cottages - or a cottage to rent - with a view to the future. Found quite a pleasant one & Mary is to inquire in the city. Before we started back we had some lemon sour &c. & it was cool & pleasant. Started back at
