came for me - on their wheels - and we went on a nine mile ride - up Spring & Clifton to Genesee St. where we rode 3 abreast - a la a & procession. Then into South Park & 'way around the circle - sitting on the river bank awhile to watch a sail boat, a row boat & a shell. It was a beautiful afternoon - but cold. On we went around the circle - past the speedway and the sheep and up the hill & down the pretty "back path". We came right on home and the girls stopped here - Ned for her photo- graphs and Helen to borrow my "bath robe" for a sample. We had a late supper and I did cash accts &c. & went to bed early Sept. 15. Sunday. A beautiful - but cool - day. We had a fire in the grate which Frank found very pleasant when he arrived - at 10 - with cold hands. Mary came soon after, and then Ned. We started - on our wheels - about 10:30 and went up thro' the edge of the park, stopping on Elmwood Ave. for Frank to pump up Mary's wheel. Walked thro' some sand to Genesee St - where we found the road very good, tho' rather dusty. We spun
