New offices
spread - oyster patties, ice cream & cake. Staid unusually late & walked home - I didn't enjoy myself highly - but it wasn't Miss Ettes' fault! No coffee so I went right to sleep. Jan 10. Friday. Got my Kodak - prints today. Found Charlotte & Frank were both home sick. Ned was up a couple of times. Tonight Mama took me to Dr. Millard's reception & we talked to people & drank coffee & did the right things I hope - Sam Hamilton's orchestra played - finely & there was other good music. Read later. Jan 11. Sat. The skating rinks are really booming at last. This noon I went up with Gilmore & looked at our new offices, which are plastered. They seem very nice. The stores are about done. Claude's offices are nice, too. Shopped a little tonight. Ripped after supper & went down to Mary's a little while. She played me "Rastus on Parade!" Ned brought me Frederika's (Xmas) photograph.
