things to us on Mandolin & guitar. It was ten o'clock when Frank & Hamilton "saw me home". I wrote & went to bed (or am going now) used up. June 12 Wed. Warmed & looked some like rain, but at 5 it didn't so I didn't take an umbrella when I met Mabel & May Rogers, Lura, Mattie Arnold, Helen Davis, Mary & Miss Whipple & all went to the Lake on the 5:12 car. I sat on the front seat with Mary & had a pleasant ride down. We went right over to the Yacht Club House & Mr. Burrows let us in with his key & most of the girls assisted in making coffee and we got oh! so hungry waiting for Mattie Arnold - who came by the ferry at last. & we had supper - a very nice one - at about 7. Then sat out on the piazza and watch- ed sky & water. Mr. B.

got the "Lanita" all ready to take us for a sail and had just said "All aboard, girls" - when it began to rain - so of course we did not go, but spent a pleasant evening watching the lovely water & the lights & chatting about things. Walked around the beach & past the new pavilion on our way to
