Nov. 6. Wed. Did a little shopping. Got a letter from Ned and a paper from Mrs. Graham with an account of the drowning of Capt. Reynolds in Buckhorn Lake! Saw Charlotte & Mary & Met Ned at Dake's at 8 to go to see Minnie Maddern Fiske in The Queen of Liars. She was very good indeed. Especially in the last & second acts. At the end she poisons herself and dies in her husband's arms, so involved in lies that he doubts even the sincerity of her suffering. She acts the part wonderfully well and I enjoyed it. Mary, Nellie Mac. & Lura went too - decided the last minute - Frank Davis was "at Dake's at eight." I went home with Ned and Edith came down stairs in her night gown and made us talk to her an hour or so. I was doing a "Trilby dance" in the dark & kicked over the piano stool which caused some commotion. Ned & I didn't sleep till after the clock struck four and Nov. 7. Thurs. then woke up before seven - very much the worse for it. Walked up with Ned & was late to the office. Didn't take my wheel down at all today. It
