Fred Terry her husband is handsome & a good actor too. - And the man who takes the Regent's part is good. He makes love to her & her husband fights a duel with him in the garden while the wife entertains 5 or 6 other men by "acting" - first comedy & then real tragedy & (when she hears a groan & believes her husband killed) but they think she is acting & will not believe her. It is very fine indeed I think. She's one of these lovely tall English women with fair beautiful skin and lovely goldenish hair - loads of it - Sumptuous dress (very low before & behind - but such lovely arms neck & shoulders!) The men were dressed in that captivating "Barry Lyndon" style. It night have been a chapter of his life. The other play was quite different & equally good - a dear old man - trusting & confiding & his brother suspicious & penurious & their influence on each other & various adventures. Both brothers were very good and the company too - quite English. We walked home with Claude who stopped for us. It snowed then Ned had a time getting in. She & Mary "talked back" a little
