ready & went to Fredericka's - she had company, so I went up in her room with Ned & we had a nice talk. Then Kingsbury went & Mary Young came & F. made us come down stairs & visit. After she went we went up stairs & talked till time for F. to go to church. She goes to N.Y. tomorrow night for about 3 weeks. Ned, F. & I came up in the car together & I went over to the station with Ned to meet Edith - who's been in the country, but we missed her. She is about wild in re-breaking up & branching out for herself. Ned also feels badly about money &c. Thinks - even - of marrying S.L.W. "if he only had money enough"! Came home & lunched & read again. Jan. 20. Mon J.G. went to Albany & J.W. goes to N.Y. tomorrow. I had quite a chat with him about Holland &c. this p.m. This noon I had a dear little visit with Charlotte of whom I'm getting very fond. Mary caught up with me, coming back and wanted to know "why I didn't come over" yesterday. Frank
