We did did have a "beautiful time", as Guerdon says, on board. Went all thro' the boat saloons decks &c. but first sat still and watched the departure. The city and harbor and the many interest- ing boats & landscapes - saw Liberty under the bridge, passed quite near to Black- well's Island & Ward's & saw the people & Institutions on them very plainly in the
