She came up once or twice & I saw her on the car tonight and stopped at Mary's on the way home for a chat & to tell her Mr. Gillis wanted to see her stenographer-girl. Scrap-booked tonight till very tired. Got a letter from Gertrude with the above personal clipping from the Utica Globe - our friends! Feb. 5 Wed. Lovely over head but beastly underfoot.Mary and Ned were both up (severally) for calls this noon and Ned & Edith tonight. They walked up a little way with me. Were going "out" to tea. Pasted again tonight but went to bath and bed early. Feb. 6. Thurs. A very stormy day. Rained all a.m. Snowed all p.m. Blizzard at 5:30 (car crowded!) and wind & sleet & other things at night. Mrs. Andrews came on from Utica & spent the night here. I simply had to go to the pedro Club of course, tho' I gave it up once or twice. It really wasn't nearly as bad as at 5:30, but the cars were slow coming down. Didn't get there till 8:45 we didn't begin till nine. Played with Warren Fisk & had quite a good time. Mr. Bristol & Emma got the prizes - a pretty silver candlestick, and a bill case - and Henry Severance & one Miss Wallace the booby - a pretty little vase and a cute negro (china ?) We had delicious oyster patties, olives, sherbet and cake. Of course we managed to all get the midnight car!
