Pleasant. We had a wood fire, but it was almost too warm. I read
"The Story of the Gadsbys" & some Thackery.
Tried another picture of Mama when
she got home from church. Right after dinner (about 3.) Ned drove up with her steed and a double
sleigh and
Mary in the back seat. (neg. lost by
photographer.) I kodaked them but think it
snapped too quickly. I bundled up & piled in and we sailed
across country to Charlotte's where
Mary & I went in to see the
invalid (Frank) while Charlotte got ready. I had a nice little
talk with
Mr. Davis, who appreciated his picture
of
Charlotte, evidently. When we came
out Mary & Ned had Front seat.
Charlotte & I back & we had a
nice two hours' ride. The hill on
Elmwood Ave. (in the country) was very windy, but
the park was perfectly beautiful with its un- broken fields of snow.
It's rabbit tracks among the bushes & the beautiful sky and
cloud pictures and many-colored late sunshine. The river was almost
all ice with
