The still, dewy night - the out door odors - the white smooth rode. The gorgeously bright moon & stars & the sense of freedom & exhiliraton of the wheel's motion! We stopped to rest (It was really Ned's first ride) at the two-mile seat and at the toll gate - where Frank distributed gum. We got off again at the deafmute hill & walked across driving park ave. bridge - so we were a long time coming up - but it was hard to think of going indoors. We went up Lake Ave. all of us & then
