"! - are coming next Sunday to call (!) on me & "The dear girls". I therefore informed said girls & we're all invited up there to tea Sunday p.m. Tonight Mary was up for half an hour - & Geo. Humphrey came while she was here - on his wheel. She had just gone when Charlotte & Helen came & then Edith and Ned & we did have a jolly time talking Stony Lake. Ned says she has really learned to swim! Prof. Forbes taught her - Oh, lucky girl. They went home about 10 and I read "Jimty". Aug. 16. Friday A lovely day, but rather warm. Ned & Edith were up this noon. It's nice to have the dear girl running in again. We discussed pictures &c.
