noon and tonight she and Edith were up. It had cleared off this p.m. & was quite lovely. Mrs. Behn sent over for us all to come over to the party - but we didn't till after we had seen the girls off - at 10 o'clock. Nothing more about camping except that Frederica can go and stay 3 weeks! I suppose everything is waiting for Mr. Whitcomb's plans. Will Orchard was in town to-day & dined with Gordon . I went over to Mrs. Behn's - late - & watched a German woman tell fortunes in the street car & the card playing in the shed & heard the music in the parlor (Frank Mandeville) & saw the girls' room - new brass bedstead &c.&c. & finally came home and read until 12! Foolishness Jun. 22. Sat. A beautiful day. The orphans all started off early on a picnic (Central Ch. S. S. at Silver Lake.) It was a perfect day to ride & I promised to go to Davis' with Mary at 5 o'clock. Couldn't, tho' on acct. of "municipal matters" J.G. kept me busy. Rode up after Mary & found she had just gone. Following Helen down to her house! I had & little visit with Mr. Davis on the front piazza and
