a little house build up in a tree and a large number of alluring cottages and while Alice rested, Nan and I went up to Santa Cruz Inn - where there is a gorgeous view down the Clove from the veranda - all the Clove - the valley beyond, and over to the skyline of the Berkshires. We came down back, past a row of pretty cottages and had our lunch in a "bowery, flowery spot" and then took a delightful walk down Haines Falls Bridge and along by the creek, over the golf links, to the station, where the 1:23 train conveyed us, "at 6¢ per" to Tannersville - and who should I encounter there - on the platform, about to take the train, but Lilla Nourse and Mary Olmsted! just returning from a four days tramp - up the Overlook and Plaater- kill Clove and across thro' various places and Onteora Park, and now on their way back down the mountain to Catskill! Of course I was glad enough to see Lilla!! Alice, Nan and I finally got over to Onteora Park, after changing vehicles twice! and there got a fine rubber-tired two-seater, and a man to drive and
