Aug. 5. Tues. Frederica was married tonight - Today and yesterday were both lovely but it poured this evening Aug 9. Sat. Claude in Syracuse and Papa in Oswe Dansville - Mother and I went down and called on Alice Jones and "Marion

", the new adopted baby - 16 mos old. They are at Windsor Beach and John French and his bride (Marie Taylor - Actress) were there. We went from there over the river to the Greenleaf Farm for supper and then up home in the evening. Found Papa here. Aug 10 Sun. Nice lazy day - Called on Mary. Mrs. Alexander, the Davises (supper) and Lura all on my wheel this p.m. Fine, clear air. Aug. 14 Mon. The twins'

birthday -! A month old - I tried their picture with big and little cameras, with doubtful results. This evening went out to the Country Club with Claude to supper - a delicious one, about 7:30 and a delightful moonlight ride in on our wheels. Averill ("JG") was out there and a lot more nice people. Afterward we went to Colonial Hall to "Ping-pong". Aug 15 Fri. Disappointed that Trudy
 can't come today to go to Conesus with me tomorrow. Lunched downtown and tried on my swell new black silk & green velvet & white lace dress. Claude left tonight for Bay View, Maine,
