and a fierce looking purple and yellow and pink cat picture to
Helen as booby. I got a
"consolation" - some Maude Adams
pictures. I had the highest score today. We about decided to take
the house for a week or two in September - with Mrs. Baker to keep house for us - and most of the girls said
they'd come. After supper Frank
and
Hamilton chose sides and we played
baseball. Miss Mackey (our
"substitute" was the star. It was great fun. A pretty front yard with
an unbounded view of Old Ontario - a
delectable spot. We walked down to Charlotte (the
boys with us) just before dark and got to the city some after nine -
all had a "bully" time. If Charlotte had not
missed a meeting
she would have got the prize. Her percentage was highest of all. 25+
Freddy, as substitute made the best average
score - 37+ per game - and May
Rogers the worst (one meeting) 9 1/4! The averages were
very interesting. I staid up and made them out.
May 31 Sat.
A glorious day - warmer but not too warm- and sunny and bright. At
4:30 or so
