front of the rear(?) of the house - and many out-buildings - servants quarters- a "spring house" - hen house, gardner's house, office, kitchen, well house, coach house, stables, smoke house &c.&c. The house of course is a rare old mansion and the furniture and so on which is "restored" is so well done as to be entirely harmonious. We went first to the Banquet hall
which contains many relics. In the music room is Miss C's spinet & Washington's flute - His tooth- brush & silver case are in the banquet hall cabinet (with many other interesting things. They key of the Bastile (from Lafayette) is in a glass case in the hall, also some of Washington's swords. In another room is a candle made for the illumination of Yorktown, after the surrender.
