1903
first out to Davis' where I had a visit with Mr. & Mrs. D. Then to Lura's - when I saw Eleanore Coe's tree - then to Edith - where Donald
opened the door with a flourish and wished me Merry Christmas then to Mae's, where Mrs. Wray
and Delos came out and up on the car with we. Then to Mac Arthur's - where it was fearfully slippery going up the path and where I saw Alice. Then home so tired about 6:30. Supper and rested till Claude came to the Pie. We were disappointed that Char didn't feel able and Mrs. W. had to stay with her - but the dear Boy was so welcome. We had a very nice time and a very nice pie. So full - a five-dollar gold piece and a nice little note from J.W.C. an apron from Zaza. Scribners & a lot of things from Mother. I gave her a hat and Father a watch(!) and Zo and Zenda gave each other stockings of catnip (They were terribly cute) and sent one to "Barney"
, who sent them ping-pong balls. We had ice cream when we were all thro' (I can't begin to enumerate all our lovely gifts here) and then CFB went home - loaded - to Char. and Mother and I "slicked up" and I went to my welcome bed!
